Adam Ziegler

Co-Founder and CEO, Mootus

Adam Ziegler is the co-founder and CEO of Mootus, an online platform for collaborative, competitive legal research, training and debate. Its mission is to help lawyers work better, faster, smarter and cheaper.

Adam is also an experienced practicing lawyer and partner at a top Boston litigation boutique. He previously worked at Covington & Burling and Goodwin Procter LLP as a litigation associate yearning to “do what lawyers do.” Before that, he served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. James L. Ryan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, where he learned everything he knows about legal writing and analysis, and as an intern with the Appellate Staff in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he learned that great lawyers love the law.

Adam earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was Order of the Coif and served as a Note Editor for the Michigan Law Review. He also has a B.A. in English from Davidson College, and he grew up in the New Orleans area.
