Rico Williams
Student, University of Miami School of Law
Rico Williams is a second year student at the University of Miami School of Law, where he currently serves as a Research Assistant for Michele DeStefano and Dean’s Fellow for Professor William Widen. Rico is concurrently pursuing a Master’s in Music Business & Entertainment Studies at the University of Miami Frost School of Music.
This spring, Rico will represent the University of Miami School of Law’s Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board at the Admiralty Moot Court Competition. Rico also serves as a co-chairperson of the University of Miami Law School Honor Council Public Outreach and Awareness Committee. Additionally, Rico is the gracious recipient of two Dean’s Certificates of Achievement Award in Legal Research and Writing. During the summer of 2011, Rico worked as a Legal Intern for the General Counsel’s office at Apple, Inc. During the fall of 2011, Rico worked as a Legal Intern for Shook, Hardy & Bacon L.L.P., a premier litigation firm in Miami, FL.
Rico studied International Relations at George Washington University and Florida International University, where he graduated cum laude and received a Certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Prior to attending law school, Rico worked as the Information Management Officer for the United States Army Garrison at the United States Southern Command. Rico’s interests include travel, extreme sports, technology and entertainment.
