Mike Williams

Student, Sydney Law School

Mike Williams is currently undertaking a Juris Doctor at the University of Sydney and working with global law firm Allen & Overy. As part of his Summer Clerkship, he has spent time in the firm’s Sydney and Hong Kong offices within the Corporate, Litigation and International Antitrust Groups.

Prior to his studies of law, Mike graduated with Distinction from the Bachelor of Accounting Cooperative Scholarship Program at the University of Technology, Sydney, where he completed industry placements at KordaMentha, the Australian affiliate of AlixPartners, in the Corporate Recovery and Forensic teams and at Dell Australia in the Finance division. Outside this course, he has interned for KPMG Corporate Finance.

Mike has represented his universities in sport at the Australian University Games and during study abroad programs at both the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, and the University of New Caledonia in Noumea. Additionally, he has volunteered locally for Caritas and St John’s Community Services and overseas for Tabitha-Cambodia in their house-building tour.

Mike hopes to help students make more informed university and career choices through his work alongside Sculpture by the Sea Founding Director, David Handley, on the new internet project www.whatdegreewhichuniversity.com. In his free time, you can find Mike on the tennis court and football field or sharpening his French and guitar skills.
