Virtual Conversations
Students attend virtual, thought leader presentations and active learning sessions each week on Adobe Connect, our primary virtual stage for LawWithoutWalls™. Instead of participants having to go to a classroom or conference room and then virtually connecting those rooms, Adobe Connect lets us all connect individually on our own computers which makes for a much more personal experience and lets people participate from anywhere they want to be. We selected Adobe Connect instead of competing products because it is platform neutral, (i.e. it works in both Mac OS and Windows), is extremely user friendly, allows many people to see each other in high quality video in real-time, and lets us record our sessions so people can view them at a later time. Students will also hold virtual conversations with their mentors on a weekly basis. These conversations will be via Skype, Google Chat, iChat, or other video conference tool as these conversations do not need to be recorded and only involve three people at a time.
