Annette Torres

Annette Torres earned her B.A. in Business Administration and M.B.A., both with honors, from Florida International University. She received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1993. After law school, she joined the law firm of Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A., as an associate in Miami. Annette became a Shareholder in the firm's Labor and Employment Law Department in 1999. During her career in practice, she represented employers in a wide range of employment matters, including claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Florida Civil Rights Act, and other federal, state and local laws. She has extensive trial and appellate experience, including oral argument and briefing before the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Florida Supreme Court, and Florida's First, Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal.
