Liz Rieser-Murphy
Student, University of Miami School of Law
Liz Rieser-Murphy is a second-year student at the University of Miami School of Law. She holds a B.A. from the University of Delaware. She also earned an M.A. in Education from New York University while teaching middle school in the Bronx as a New York City Teaching Fellow. After teaching, Liz participated in disaster relief in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. She eventually entered the legal field as a paralegal for The Nature Conservancy. She continued exploring the legal world as an assistant at the U.S. Department of Justice prior to entering law school.
This past summer she worked with the human rights clinic at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia. Also this past summer, Liz traveled to Paris, France with Tulane Law School. She is currently enrolled in the immigration clinic at the University of Miami and is a candidate for the University of Miami Law Review. She is interested in exploring issues surrounding international law and human rights.
