Chris Preston

Associate, Eversheds LLP

Chris Preston is an Associate at Eversheds LLP based in the Birmingham office. He specialises in Real Estate Litigation and advises multi-national property, financial services, software, retail and house building clients on their contentious real estate issues. His recent work includes advising the UK’s largest property company on the redevelopment of a major shopping centre in Oxford, acting for a joint venture company made up of property developers and investment funds on a major rent review dispute and advising one of the UK’s top banks on lease renewals for their retail banking property portfolio.

Chris originally studied History at the University of Nottingham before studying Law as a postgraduate. He trained at Eversheds and did training seats in the Corporate, Commercial Property and Real Estate Planning teams during his training contract. He has previously worked at Royal Bank of Scotland where he devised and implemented a training program for the corporate checking account team. 

Outside of his work at Eversheds, Chris is married to Annie and has an interest in travelling and sport. He spends most of his time off trying to add to the list of places in the world he has visited; to date Australia, USA, China, New Zealand, Canada, Fiji and the vast majority of Europe have been ticked off the list. Chris is also a keen sportsman and regularly plays football (soccer!), tennis and cricket and is a spectator at Aston Villa football and Leicester Tiger rugby matches
