Academic and Practitioner Mentors
Students are provided two mentors, one practitioner (or judge) and one academic, to help guide their research and Projects of Worth. Once each week, student teams meet virtually for one hour with a mentor. The mentors help students identify a narrow problem within the large topic they have been assigned, guide the students' research methodology and outreach, brainstorm with the students to help them develop creative and practical solutions to the problems they have identified, provide critical feedback and commentary on students' action plans, and mentor them on professionalism, communication, and presentation skills.
