Pedro Letai

Professor of Law, IE Law School

Pedro Letai is a Professor of Law at IE Law School in Madrid (Spain). Pedro’s practice deals with the full spectrum of private law, teaching courses on intellectual property, commercial law and jurisprudence at IE University.

Before entering his academic career, he worked as a lawyer at Uría Menéndez, where he focused on the advice to Spanish and international companies operating in the music, audiovisual and editorial industries, suppliers of internet contents and companies in the IT sector, also handling legal proceedings on those fields of expertise. Frequent speaker at various legal forums, Pedro has written several publications on Intellectual Property and other related matters, including the co-authority of the book Cyber Law in Spain (Wolters Kluwer, 2011), and two books on poetry.

LL.B. at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, LL.M. on Legal Practice at IE Law School and LL.M. on Intellectual Property at Universidad Pontificia de Comillas – ICADE, Pedro is about to finish his PhD at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid with a thesis on intellectual property infringements over the music works on the Internet.
