Georgina Leech

Georgina Leech is a lawyer at Legal & General Group Plc, a financial services company headquartered in London which provides insurance, savings and investment products. Georgina works in the Retail Businesses team within Group Legal and predominantly deals with the distribution of insurance products in the UK. She has recently been involved with advising the business on the changes required as a result of the FSA’s Retail Distribution Review.

Prior to joining Legal & General, Georgina trained at Beachcroft LLP in London, where she also carried out secondments to Unilever and Sodexo, before joining the legal team at the UK Branch of Zurich Insurance plc as a solicitor in its Corporate & Commercial team. Here, Georgina supported Zurich’s procurement team and worked on a wide range of both IT and general procurement agreements.

Georgina obtained a degree in Management Studies at the University of Leeds. As a non-law graduate she then went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Leeds, following which she spent time travelling in South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand before moving to London to begin training at Beachcroft LLP.
