Nao Iwamoto

Student, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania

Nao is a second year MBA student at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. 

Prior to Wharton, she worked for the Tokyo Stock Exchange for 7 years. Nao investigated over 200 fraudulent companies and helping them improve their internal control systems. She served as the main contact with listed companies and negotiated with lawyers and accountants, and company representatives to encourage adequate disclosure. Nao was the first TSE employee to do a personnel exchange with the NYSE. In 2009, she was selected one of the 30 members to participate in the Future Vision Committee established by the CEO to debate the challenges TSE is likely to face in the future. Nao is the first female to be awarded company sponsorship for her Wharton studies and plans to go back after graduation.

In Wharton, she is the fundraising director of the Wharton International Volunteer Program and the marketing vice president of Wharton Dealmakers Club. She led the Japan Trek that takes 150 students to her home country Japan.
