Senior commercial/IT solicitor, Marks and Spencer
Natalie joined M&S in May 2010 as a senior commercial/IT solicitor, having previously worked at a US law firm, Hunton & Williams and prior to that Wragge & Co. She specialises in information technology, e-commerce and consumer law. She advises on e-commerce legal issues, both front end, such as T&Cs, promotions and competitions, and online marketing and advertising, and also in relation to M&S’ various e-commerce and multi-channel platforms (domestic and international). She has spent the last 2 years working on a multi-channel project involving the transition from the current Amazon managed and hosted marksandspencer.com environment to a new M&S bespoke web platform involving multiple IT suppliers, systems integrators and product, application and hosting providers. In the last 12 months she has assisted the international website team on the launch of 6 websites in the EU and one in China.
While at Hunton & Williams Natalie advised large US companies with an EU presence such as General Electric, TJX (TK Maxx in the UK and Ireland) and Estee Lauder on both e-commerce and data protection/privacy issues. She also worked on IT outsourcing projects with the Indian vendors including Wipro, WNS and TCS.
Natalie studied Law and Spanish at Cardiff University where she spent the third year studying abroad at Icade University in Madrid. She regularly visits Spain and enjoys travelling and photography. Last year she trekked to see the mountain gorillas in Uganda.
