Coraline Haitjema
U.S. Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney Trainee, Hoyng Monegier

Coraline Haitjema is a U.S. Patent Attorney and is training to become a European Patent Attorney in Hoyng Monegier's Amsterdam office. She is involved in all aspects of patents, including patent procurement, opinion and licensing work, and advising on IP strategy for clients. Coraline is also involved in consulting on intellectual property and commercial litigation cases.
With a background in biology, Coraline’s patent practice is particularly focused on the biology and chemistry sectors in areas such as topical preparations, pharmaceuticals, composite materials, coatings as well as in various related mechanical fields. Prior to joining Hoyng Monegier, Coraline worked at a leading international IP law firm. She started her career at The Noblitt Group in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she was involved in patent and trademark prosecution before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She has also worked in the mechanical engineering sector.
Coraline studied biology at Indiana University and obtained her law degree at Arizona State University. She also holds an LL.M. in International and European Law from the University of Amsterdam.
