Michael D. Guttentag

Associate Professor of Law, Loyola Law School

Michael Guttentag is an Associate Professor of Law at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he joined the faculty in 2008.  He has taught Business Organizations and other corporate law courses, Commercial Law, and Empirical Methods.  His scholarship includes work in securities regulation and fraud prevention.

He has worked as an executive in the public and private sectors, where he held senior management positions in the Internet, entertainment, and financial services industries.  From 2005 to 2008, Michael was a member of the faculty of the Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and prior to that, he taught at the University of Southern California Law School, where he was an Olin Fellow at the Center for Law, Economics, and Organizations.  He also served as a visiting professor at the Emory University School of Law.

Michael earned an AB in Economics from Harvard College, an M.B.A from Harvard Business School, and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
