Guo Fan

Student, Peking University School of Transnational Law

Guo Fan is currently a third-year law student of Peking University, School of Transnational Law. She is expected to graduate in 2014 with a Chinese J.M. Degree and U.S. J.D Degree. Until now, she has interned in two of the most prestigious domestic law firms, the Junhe Law Offices and Allbright Law Offices of China.  In February, Guo Fan will start working in the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center to continue building her knowledge of transnational law. After graduation, she plans to work in an international law firm with specialties in medical-related litigation.

Guo Fan was once a medical student in Peking University, Health Science Center. She received a double-degree in international studies while in college. During that time, she was very much involved in extra-curricular activities with foreign elements. Those experiences have largely changed her perspective and aim. Soon after college, Guo Fan switched her major from medicine to law. This was done without any hesitation. Since then, her goal to become a transnational lawyer has never been clearer.

Guo Fan would call herself more of an in-door person, funny and straight-forward. For most of her twenty-year-plus life, she has insisted on doing what she likes and what she is good at, rather than what she is told. She hopes that will continue to be true.
