Matan Ganani

Student, IE Business School

Matan Ganani, a law school graduate, is an MBA student at IE Business School, due to graduate in May 2013. He attended law school in Israel, where he also obtained a bachelor's degree in Government and Diplomacy. Prior to his business studies, he completed a one year legal apprenticeship in Israel's largest law firm, where he specialized in securities and capital markets law, also taking part in an inner-city school project as a volunteer lecturer on the legal aspects of freedom of speech. During law school, Matan completed an internship in a firm which specializes in commercial litigation. 

Passionate about complex problem solving, Matan spent years working in the SAT and GMAT private preparation industry. Teaching classes of nervous students test taking methods, and helping each student capitalize on his strengths come test day. Matan also oversaw the training of new instructors, and helped to constantly implement new strategies and approaches for tackling standardized exams.

Having grown up both in Israel as well as the United States, Matan feels as if no corner of the globe is unreachable. He has already explored over 20 countries across five continents, but is thrilled there are many more left. His love of travel is complemented by his passion for photography, as well as his affection for music. Matan enjoys outdoor sports, played varsity tennis in high school, and is a certified Scuba Divemaster and Rescue Diver.
