Jordan Furlong

Jordan is a lawyer, speaker, and consultant based in Ottawa, Canada. He is a partner with the global consulting firm Edge International, a senior consultant with legal web development company Stem Legal Web Enterprises, and the author of Law21: Dispatches from a Legal Profession on the Brink (http://law21.ca), named four straight years by the ABA Journal as one of the 100 best law blogs in North America. He specializes in delivering dynamic and thought-provoking presentations to law firms, practice groups, and legal organizations.

Jordan began his legal career as an articling student at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP in Toronto, then went on to serve as an award-winning editor of three leading legal periodicals: the Canadian Bar Association’s National magazine, the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association’s CCCA Magazine, and Lexis-Nexis' The Lawyers Weekly newspaper. He is a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management and Past Chair of its annual InnovAction Awards. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario (1993) and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Over the past few years, Jordan has delivered more than two dozen presentations throughout Canada and the United States for a wide range of legal organizations and events, including the American Bar Association (ABA), the Legal Marketing Association (LMA), the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), the Association for Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA), the Federation of Law Societies of Canada and the Georgetown University Law Center for the Study of the Legal Profession, as well as law firm retreats ranging from firms in smaller regions to the AmLaw 100.
