Fritjof Franz

Student, IE Business School

Fritjof Franz is MBA student at IE Business School in Madrid and a German lawyer specialized in restructuring, insolvency and M&A law. As corporate counsel and consultant for the GLC Consulting Group he was head of the legal department and worked as project manager on strategy and M&A projects and restructured a company from the public sector as interim managing director. Previously, he worked as insolvency lawyer and in the private equity sector.

In 2007 Fritjof graduated from law school at Humboldt Universität in Berlin and in 2009 he completed the German bar exam. During his time as legal trainee he worked for a civil judge, a public prosecutor, and the Canadian German Chamber of Industry & Commerce in Toronto, Canada. In 2011 he completed an LL.M. (part time) on mergers and acquisitions at Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. 

Fritjof is an active member of IE Entrepreneurs Club, IE Venture Capital & Private Equity Club and IE Ambassador representing IE Business School. He participated at an Islamic Finance course at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. During his time in Berlin he was executive member of the aid organization Murmansk-Hilfskonvoi and co-founder of the short film festival “Bananinale”. Fritjof interests are sports and art and architecture of the 20th century.
