Peter Cunha

Peter Cunha is a second-year student at the University of Miami School of Law. He currently serves as a Research Assistant for Professor Michele DeStefano on the LawWithoutWalls™ initiative.

As a candidate on the University of Miami Law Review, Peter is currently writing an article on the interplay between environmental law and foreign investment issues in Brazil. In addition, he is a member of the International Law Society and the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. During the summer of 2010, Peter worked as a research assistant for Professor Michele DeStefano Beardslee. His legal interests include International Commercial Law and Litigation.

Peter earned a Bachelor of Arts in English (Writing Concentration) and International Management, summa cum laude, from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA, where he was awarded the Alumni Prize for Outstanding Achievement in the Humanities, considered the most prestigious award given to a graduate in that area of study. Prior to attending law school, Peter worked for F.L. Smidth, where he coordinated human resources and sales in Latin America, as well as for the United States Soccer Federation. He also held an internship with the Luso-American Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal. Peter is originally from Alexandria, NJ and currently resides in Miami.
