Lucy Chadwick

Lucy Chadwick is an associate solicitor in the construction and engineering group at Eversheds LLP. Lucy has experience of both contentious and non-contentious work and has acted for developers, employers and funders advising on standard and bespoke forms of building and engineering contracts, associated framework and project specific consultant documentation, security and collateral agreements. Lucy's recent experience includes assisting in the drafting and negotiation with the Government of Sierra Leone, of a concession agreement for the construction and operation of a petroleum jetty in the port of Freetown, Sierra Leone, advising a funder in respect of its project finance of biomass power plants in Bedfordshire and Yorkshire and advising institutional investors on the construction aspects of high value property acquisitions in London.
Lucy began her career as a paralegal in the environmental and regulatory team of Eversheds LLP advising clients on regulatory compliance and defending private companies against public prosecution for environmental offences. Lucy qualified into the construction and engineering team in 2007 and transferred to the London office later that year.
Lucy gained a MSc in Environmental Biology at Swansea University and an L.L.M in International Environmental Law at Nottingham University before joining Eversheds LLP. After securing a training contract with the firm she subsequently completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Law at the College of Law in York and the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff Law School.
