Chris Callahan
Research Assistant to Professor Patricia Brown, Director of the Graduate Program in Taxation at UM Law
Chris currently works as the Research Assistant to Professor Patricia Brown, Director of the Graduate Program in Taxation at UM Law. Completion of the Tax LL.M is expected in May of 2012. He served as the Secretary for Panel Two: The Debt-Equity Conundrum at the 2012 International Fiscal Association Congress in Boston.
Chris Callahan partnered with Indira Murthy to present a full-length video game concept that would teach basic financial and business skills with a legal twist at the inaugural LawWithout Walls ConPosium (2011). Chris' work experience includes but is not limited to the Basketball Operations Department of the Philadelphia 76ers, Des Voeux Chambers in Hong Kong, and the International Fiscal Association.
Chris received his Bachelor of Science from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in 2007. He is currently spearheading the four-year JD/MBA/Tax LL.M Triple Degree Program at the University of Miami School of Law. Chris passed the New York State Bar Examination in 2012. As President of the Irish American Bar Association of Florida, he hopes to create a fundraising campaign aimed at collecting music playing devices for Veterans at the Miami VA Hospital. He currently resides in Miami, Florida.
